The Alcazar Suri Stud
The Alcazar Suri Stud® was established in 1999 with the aim of Keeping the Suri Pure®. The focus of the Alcazar breeding programme has always been to establish a line of white, pure-bred suri alpacas with not only all the desirable suri fleece attributes, but also large frame, heavy bone, correct conformation and robust constitution.
The Alcazar Suri Stud was purchased by its current owners—Deborah Smith & David Cooper and Fiona & Ian Vanderbeek in 2010. Both partners already owned their own white suri herds (Shangrilah Alpacas and Birrong Suri Alpacas) located respectively in the Northern Tablelands and Southern Highlands of NSW.

The genetics available within the Alcazar suri herd include many of the top Accoyo bloodlines to be found in Australia today, including those of Surilana Icalon and Surilana T-Pito, together with a strong infusion of the classic suri lines of Amador and Senator. In addition, we are now introducing some new blood to the Alcazar herd through the strategic use of selected males from the Shangrilah and Birrong Suri herds—giving access to the genetics of Surilana Odin, Surilana Macusani Ma Belle and Surilana Il Papa.
We strive to offer a range of top quality breeding stock at down-to-earth prices, with suri alpacas for sale on our properties in southern and northern New South Wales.
We welcome visitors, by appointment, at both locations and enjoy being able to offer a high level of support and advice, to those new to, or thinking about entering, the wonderful world of white suri.
